It is suitable for shopping malls, parking garages, museums, hospitals, and tourist sites, to name a few.

Whenever a sighted person enters a room (especially large areas in large buildings), they instantly and almost subconsciously gather a collection of introductory information, much of which is non-transitory: Where are the exits? Obstacles? Walls? Elevators? etc. Visually impaired people have no such capability to survey each new environment.

We continue to use a modeling toolkit that we have developed during the course of our research. It allows to represent multi-level indoor environments in a way that enables route finding and visualizations from various perspectives.
